Danny came to visit me at Bradley University in Peoria, IL the semester after my dad died. I always appreciated that visit. He was a great friend and terrific prom date. I was so sorry to hear that he passed away. May his soul rest in peace.
WALLINGFORD - Daniel M. Strout, 45, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Lisa (Alfano) Strout, departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
Daniel was born on Nov. 8, 1961, in Red Bank, N.J., son of Stephanie (Stepanski) Strout and the late Albert Strout. Daniel was a graduate of Sheehan High School, class of 1980. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was later honorably discharged. Dan worked for ADT for over 15 years as an Alarm Installation Specialist. He was also an electrician by trade. He was a communicant of St. Francis Catholic Church in New Haven, and a Mason of Compass Lodge No. 9, where he served as a past Master. He also belonged to the Grand Commandery Knights of Templar of Connecticut. On April 7, 1990 he married Lisa M. Alfano and they spent over 17 years in a loving marriage together. He was a father of three, which was by far his greatest legacy.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Lisa of Wallingford and adoring children, Daniel Jr., Natalie Rose, and Emily Elizabeth; his mother, Stephanie Strout of Hamden; mother-in-law, Corinne Alfano of Northford; he also leaves brothers, Douglas Strout and wife, Nancie of Wallingford and Thomas Strout and wife, Carol of Columbia; sister, Tami Stanford and husband, Greg of Orange; brothers-in-law, Joseph Alfano and wife, Christine of Clinton, and Anthony Alfano and wife, Alicia of Durham; along with sister-in-law, Lori Carpenter and husband, Martin of Northford; Dan also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and friends may call at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford on Friday, Sept. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Church, 397 Ferry St., New Haven on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Center Street Cemetery, in Wallingford.
