Scott Lundeen VIEW PROFILE

HAMPTON BEACH - Scott Edward Lundeen, of 21 Fuller Acres, died at his home on Friday morning, April 15, 2005, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Oakland, Calif., on Dec. 10, 1961, he was the son of Glenn R. Lundeen and Marjorie G. (Taylor) Rideout. Adopted at a young age, he and his sister were fortunate to share two wonderful parents. When their father married again, the family grew to include a second mother and a brother.

He graduated from Northgate High School, Class of 1980, in Walnut Creek, Calif. As a teenager, he joined his father in the family pool service business. As a young man, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served as a radio operator on the "snoop" spy plane "Looking Glass." He was also stationed in England in the military police. After leaving the service, Scott returned home and worked for a T-shirt business, assigned to the Travis Tritt Band. His experiences during this time served as fuel for many entertaining stories. Later, Scott worked in construction alongside his brother, but an accident cut short his time in the industry. Once back on his feet, he purchased a spa business. Scott was exuberant about the product, the people he dealt with and the thrill of the sale. Leads and sales were often to be found at carnivals and fairs across the country, and Scott made the rounds to many. He achieved recognition as the No. — Softub dealer in the country. At the height of his career, he was featured on talk shows on the Fox network and on "Good Morning America."

Having achieved professional successful, he focused on his personal life. In New Hampshire, he met the woman who was to share his hopes, his dreams and his life. Fa Vereen was the friend with whom he felt most at ease. Bittersweet in its timing, love found him just as the fight for his life began. Diagnosed with cancer in November 2003, Scott and Fa experienced the heights of life's emotions within a very short time. Scott moved through his journey proudly, armed with the strength of his wife and his circle of friends and family.

Little things gave him joy. His mother's macaroni-and-cheese birthday dinners, a day on the golf course, his niece Julia, seeing Tiger win this year's Masters, a lively political discussion, time spent at Skinny Legs with the "Awesome 8," a great bottle of wine, a new stainless steel grill, George W. Bush, house-boating on Lake Shasta, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, closing a sale, nesting at home with Fa, doing for others, his friends from carny days. These things fed his soul and made him smile.

In addition to his wife, Florence A. "Fa" (Dubois) Vereen of Hampton Beach, he is survived by his father and his wife, Glenn R. and Donna (May) Lundeen of Walnut Creek, Calif.; his mother, Marjorie G. Rideout of Concord, Calif.; his sister, Nancy C. (Mrs. Gary L.) Anderson of Vallejo, Calif.; his brother, John R. Lundeen and his wife, Jennifer; his niece, Julia May Lundeen of Fairfield, Calif.; his aunts and uncles, Dorothy (Mrs. I. Dominic) Sarao, Loretta (Mrs. Mark) Reiff, and Cathy (Mrs. David R.) Mendoza; several cousins; his mother-in-law, Delia Jane Dubois of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his sisters-in-law, Joanne M. Dubois of Daytona, Fla., Mary R. (Mrs. Louis B.) Lanzillotti of New Boston, Margaret A. Seymour of Merrimack, and Frances A. (Mrs. David R.) White of Merrimack; his brother-in law, Robert P.
