Stephanie Ann Rivers September 2, 1962 - September 14, 2017 Resident of Concord Stephanie was the older of two children. She is survived by her husband Dale of 31 years, mother Mary Ann Marinak, father Michael Joseph Marinak, brother Marty Marinak, and her two sons Ryan and John. With her positive energy, vivacious personality, and 6-foot height, one could not help but notice when she entered a room. Her sweet demeanor, often accompanied by a smile, brightened the lives of those around her. Stephanie earned an Associated Arts degree in Retail Management from Diablo Valley College. In her over 30 year career as a sales professional she enjoyed helping customers meet their needs with products from Nordstrom, Cables Unlimited, AT&T, and Comcast. A top performing salesperson, Stephanie received numerous awards and honors, and letters of appreciation. Raising her two sons was a real source of happiness. Stephanie served as a den mother in the Cub Scouts and then as committee chair for 5 years. She received national recognition for her service in scouting. Stephanie will be remembered for hosting wonderful family dinners with an abundant assortment of delicious dishes. She also had a passion for gardening and often crafted beautiful floral arrangements for family members. In recent years she volunteered time to help beautify her church, often with flowers. A visitation will be held at 6 PM and the rosary recited at 7 PM on Monday, September 25 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 26 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 860 Oak Grove Rd., Concord. Commital will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, immediately followed by a reception there.
