Loretta Beckwith Nov. 29, 1961 - Nov. 2, 2007 Resident of Antioch Loretta Beckwith passed away on Friday, November 2, 2007 in Antioch, California. She was born November 29, 1961 to Larry and Janet Read in Walnut Creek, California. Loretta graduated from Northgate High School in 1979. She married Christopher Beckwith on August 29, 1987 in Walnut Creek. Their marriage was solemnized in the Oakland Temple on August 29, 1997. Loretta was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she faithfully served in many callings. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and home. She loved being a mother and was very resourceful, hardworking and supportive of her family in good times and in bad. She was an Antioch School District employee and restaurant manager. She is survived by her husband and 3 children; father, Larry; sister, Genny; and brother, Carl. She has been reunited with her mother, Janet. Loretta will always be remembered in our hearts as a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She always had a smile and shared a laugh with all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2007 at the LDS Church located at 3015 Rio Grand in Antioch. Friends may attend the viewing starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for the Beckwith children has been set up at the Fremont Bank.
