FORT?WAYNE – Patricia A. Jernigan, 70, Roanoke, died Jan. 18, 2014, at her home.
She was born in Charleston, S.C., to Don and Elnora Cox, who preceded her in death.
She was in the banking industry for 51 years, having worked with Lake City Bank, Warsaw, and Wells Fargo, Fort Wayne, for 25 years before retiring in 2012. She was actively involved in the 4-H, Girl Scouts and was a Junior Achievement Mentor. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are a son, Marc (and spouse Wendy) Jernigan, Roanoke; three grandsons, Bryce, Isaac and Chase Jernigan; a brother, Michael Cox, Warsaw; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Cox, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne.
