Dewey Lawshe

Dewey L. Lawshe, 69, of Warsaw, passed away at 12:10 a.m. March 25, 2012 in his residence.  Dewey was born March 15, 1943 in Warsaw to Wilson and Dixie Dykes Lawshe.

A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he was a million miler driver for Schneider Transport for 10 years and was a licensed barber since 1962.  He also served as city council at-large for the City of Warsaw from 1996-2000.  He was a member of Elks Lodge 802 and Moose Lodge 1423, Warsaw.

Dewey enjoyed golfing and fishing and spending time at the Alpine Resort in Roseneath, Canada, and Rozella Ford Community Golf Course, Warsaw.

Surviving are his daughter, Shanda (and spouse, Chris) Sanchez, Warsaw; three grandchildren, Phillip R. Robinson, Alexandrea L. Sanchez and Mercedes N. Sanchez; a sister, Beverly Foulkrod, Medicine Lodge, Kan.; and his companion, Betty Bayne, Warsaw.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.  McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, was in charge of the arrancements.  Condolences may be sent via mchattonsadlerfuneralchapels.com.
