Max Eugene Lichtenberger, 79, of Warsaw, IN, died 11:40 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was born January 23, 1943. Max graduated in the WHS Class of 1961. He married Bonnie Ann Werrick. He is predeceased by his parents; Lola Fay (Robinson) and Paul Eugene Lichtenberger; his wife Bonnie Ann Lichtenberger; and his sister Mary Carol Chrisenberry. He is survived by his two daughters Jennifer Lichtenberger and Cassandra Lichtenberger, both of Warsaw; his three grandchildren, and his companion and long-time girlfriend, Jennifer Nuefeldt.

Third grade, Washington School, during recess on the playgroud, Max was running with the boys. For some reason he had taken his shirt off. As he ran by me, I kissed him on his back. Oh did he get mad! "Stop that", he yelled. I don't know what came over me to do such a thing. Well, he was a cute little kid. He had such a dark complexion. I remember the incident like it happened yesterday.
