
James Edward "Jim" McCleary, 73, Warsaw, passed away a 3:03 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Sycamore Village Healthcare in Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 4, 1943 in Warsaw to Virgil A. and Lucille (Thorp) McCleary.
He was a lifetime Warsaw area resident, graduated in 1961 from Warsaw High School, and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette. He was a United States Air Force veteran and attended the Air Force Academy. He was married on Feb. 22, 1998 in Warsaw to Irina Nekrasova, who survives. He retired in 2000 as co-owner/operator of SYM Financial Corporation in Warsaw.
He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Irina; his daughter, Katie (Don) Ross, Blue Springs, Mo.; his son, Christopher McCleary, Bentonville, Ark.; six grandchildren; brother, Richard McCleary, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No public services are planned at this time. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.
