Darrel was born in Warsaw, IN on January 15, 1942.  He was a Vietnam War veteran, serving with the U.S. Marines.  Darrel worked for the Queen Valley Sanitary District  in California as plant manager. Darrel was a volunteer at the Queen Valley Fire Department as a fireman and EMT.   He passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly on November 29, 2003 at the age of 61.  His wife Sally, daughter Julie Phillips-Fisher, one brother and two sisters survive him.

In an article in the Queen Valley newspaper it stated that "Friends say he was the kind of guy you couldn't help but like..." 

Some things never change.  You are missed, Darrel.
