Ramona L. “Mona” Durbin, age 70, passed away on May 20, 2012. Born on November 29, 1941 in Marion, IN to Merlen and Mary Alice (Gowin) Lawshe, she was a resident of Doylestown for 47 years. Mona loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She has attended hundreds of ball games. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and especially walking on the beach in Hilton Head, where she recently returned from with her husband. Mona retired from Stark County Job and Family Services in 2007 where she was a friend to all. She had twenty years with the office of Dr. Philip Gilcrest who were like family to her. Mona was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was past president and member of the Doylestown Garden Club. Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband of 49 years, Denny; daughter, Dana(Gerald) Busson of Doylestown; sons, Pat(Lisa) Durbin of Pickerington, OH, Chris (Tiffany) Durbin of Doylestown; twelve grandchildren to include grandsons, Blake, Brock, Jordan, Jed, Colby, Travis, Austin, Patrick, Brayden, and Cade, and granddaughters, Brook and Alivia; sister, Christy (Buck) Adams of Wadsworth; many other family members who were all dear to her. She always had a big heart and was full of joy. She was an inspiration to all she touched. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, 44230 with Fr. Robert Stein, Celebrant. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
