William Franklin “Frank” Tackett, age 80 of So. Whitley passed away January 21, 2022 at 2:33 PM in Parkview-Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.

He was born February 25, 1941 in Floyd County, KY to Andrew and Addie (Blanton Tackett. He was united marriage to Beverly Smith in Warsaw, IN on October 19, 1959.

Frank was formerly employed by the City of Warsaw and Waste Management retiring in 1987. In addition, he was a self-employed Farmer who enjoyed gardening, playing the guitar, his art work with which he adorned the whole house and outbuildings and his Cub Cadet mower.

Survivors include his wife Beverly Tackett of So. Whitley, children Deniese Griffith of Goshen, Jeff (Linda) Tackett of Hartford City, Dot Tackett of Nappanee, Rachelle Alexander of Louisville, KY, siblings Mandy Clabaugh, Ray Tackett, Fay Bruner, Kathy (James) Griffith, Gerry Blair, 8 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded by 9 siblings.

An interment service will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Mark Fishburn will officiate. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
