Who on earth voted for "Turkey and Dressing" as their favorite school food?!

Well, biscits and gravy weren't an option.

And for all the teachers, I know I may have mispelled biscits, but that is ok, it isn't the spelling of a biscit that is important, it's the taste.

Actually, I have gotten in contact with Mike Scannell. I haven't gotten on him to registar on this site yet. But, I should be talking to him later this week, if not today. I'll try to talk him into it. And for the record, I too enjoy reading the messages posted on here, so keep it up!

So.. Scott told me about this site a couple months ago and since I am just as much of a lazy a$$ as all of you remember, I never registered. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, its good to see so many of you have been so very successful. Scott and I talk about 4 days a week and its good to hear from someone who knows where I came from.

Keep the forum alive.. I'll be in here a few times a week checking.

Mike

OK, we are making progress and getting a good number of folks, but we need to keep working at it until we have 100% contact. I am doing what I can, but since I don't remember most anyone, I am about as usefull as a football bat. So, I leave it to those of you that have memories and phones. I leave yall with one last question...

Just remember, most people are like slinky's. They're basically useless, yet bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Sorry Christy. I couldn't vote on the school lunch survey you put up. It didn't have a "none of the above" option. Also, we need to start thinking about the "when" of the reunion. I know we're not going to be able to accomodate every single person. So maybe we should just appoint two or three people to figure out a date and go with it. What do you all think?

I can get in touch with Doug. He's my neighbor. Which out here means I haven't seen him in years. Also, I saw Danny Williams the other day at a convenience store and let him know about the site.

My heart is heavy to learn of Heather's passing. She was too young to die. I have many memories of her through the years. She started as one of my first close friends on that first day of school at Southwest when we were 5. She had some dark times through school, I never took the time to know what they were, or didn't think it to be my business to know. I know she is at peace now. She was a smart, talented, and beautiful person and will be greatly missed. Lisa

My heart is broken into for the family of Heather. Heather was a very smart and beautiful lady inside and out. I know here lately she may have not felt that way, but this is how I will remember her. Heather did have some not so nice issues with her classmates, but I pray that she was able to forgive anyone who was not nice to her. Please remember to lift Heather's family up in prayer. I pray that each and everyone know just how much God loves you and wants to be a part of your life!! Please, don't hesitate to aks him in your heart if you have never. I also pray that you all know how much you all mean to me, we may be miles apart, but each and everyone of you have a special place in my heart!! May God bless you and your family, Julie

Well, the Inauguration is over, we have a new president and everything went pretty well. Just going to throw out some of the cool stuff my troops got to do on "I-day"...

32 drove for members of the new Cabinet to include the new White House Chief of Staff

3 Drove in the presidential motorcade

2 sat in the reviewing stand with the President during the parade

8 were escorts for the outgoing Preseident at the east side of the Capital Building

8 drove for the family members of the President and Vice-President

1 danced with the President at the Commandeer in Chief's Ball

As a military member trying to take care of my troops it was a wonderful feeling to see so many of them as excited as they were when they completed their missions.

Oh, some of the cool people I got to meet...

one of the current space shuttle's crew members (not sure which shuttle)

former astronaut and the 2nd man to walk on the moon Buzz Aldrin

the remaining members of the original Tuskeegee Airmen
