FRANK EUGENE MARCHONE

On Saturday, November 17, 2012, of Chester, MD. Beloved husband of Sandy Schiavelo Marchone; father of Darlene Marchone, Tina Marchone, Kristin Vess and Frank "Tony" Marchone. Also survived by seven grandchildren, five brothers and five sisters. Frank was the owner of Marchone's Italian Delicatessen, open since 1955. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Historic Church, 9700 Rosensteel Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, November 21 at 11 a.m. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - MD Chapter, 11350 McCormick Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21031

 

I went to the funeral service and mentioned I was a classmates to some of the people I met there.His sister,son and best friends spoke and they gave very touching tributes to a man who led a good and full life. Although I did not know him very well at Carroll, his life is a true credit to our class and school. He was an amazing success in the business world, but more importantly an inspiration to his family and friends. May he rest in peace in the knowledge of a life truly well-lived and well-loved.
