JOHN'S OBITUARY
Mr. John Charles "J.C." Singleton, Jr., age 56, a resident of 4379 River Road, Washington, NC died Thursday October 22, 2009 at the Beaufort County Medical Center.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. J.C. was born in Beaufort County on May 7, 1953 son of the late John Charles Singleton, Sr. and Dora Elks Singleton Swanner who survives. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School and continued his education at Beaufort County Community College and East Carolina University. J.C married the former Teresa Diane Waters on August 4, 1979 who survives. He was self employed in the Cable Construction Industry and a member of the Herring Club.
Surviving along with his wife Teresa of the home and mother Dora Swanner of Washington are a brother: Wayne Singleton and his wife Teresa of Washington; a mother in law: Nancy R. Waters of Washington; a sister in law: Kiki W. Hampton of Washington; a brother in law: Jimmy Waters and his wife Merry of Emerald Isle; and nieces and nephews: Logan Waters, Taylor Waters and Marshall Singleton.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Beaufort County Humane Society, P.O. Box 8, Washington, NC 27889.
