Obituary

James McBryde Webb, II, 60, a former Norfolk resident, passed away on Christmas Eve, 2013 in New York. Mr. Webb was the son of the late Junius Webb, of Washington, DC, and Valdese Webb, of Norfolk.

Mr. Webb, born in the nation's capital, spent his early years in Washington, NC, moving to the Larchmont area of Norfolk in the sixties with his mother, the late Valdese Shaw Webb, and his beloved twin brother, David Shaw Webb. He continued to reside in Norfolk until his brother's untimely death in the mid-eighties. Grieving his brother's death, Mr. Webb moved to New York City where he lived until entering hospice in July 2013, several months after his cancer diagnosis. 

Mr. Webb is survived by his niece, Jamie Noel Piccirillo, and grand nephew, Carlo. 

A graveside funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial gifts in Mr. Webb's name to MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care, 39 Broadway #200, New York, NY 10006, which provided him kind and caring refuge and respite in his final days, would be gratefully appreciated.
