Mr. James Perry Morgan, 58, a resident of Washington, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Oakdale Cemetery.

Perry lived all his life in the Clarks Neck community and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. He had been employed at Empire Brushes for a number of years. Perry was preceded in death by a son, J.P. Morgan Jr.

He is survived by grandson, Jamie Morgan, and sisters, Patricia M. Wilson and husband, Ray, of Grimesland; Faye Garska and husband, Jack, of Charlotte; Sue Edwards and husband, Lendy, of Shalimar, Fla.; Betty Hardee and husband, Jimmie, of Greenville; Linda Tripp and husband, Marshall, of Greenville; and Louise Potter of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Pat and Ray Wilson.
