OBITUARY
CHERYL KATHLEEN STEVENS
ROY ��" Cheryl (Cheri) Kathleen Holmes Stevens of Roy, Utah, passed away in her home on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, due to complications of congestive heart failure.
She was born October 16, 1948 to Joseph and Kathleen Holmes of South Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Bonneville High in 1966.
Cheri married Dale Thompson and they later divorced.
Cheri married Donald W. Stevens in 1975. Together they lovingly raised 5 children in Roy.
Cheri had many wonderful talents including cooking, sewing, and quilting. She loved anything involving a needle and thread. She was an avid art and antique collector, with her home being featured in ��~Better Homes and Gardens��(TM) magazine. She was exceptionally creative and artistic and was well known for her quilts and dolls that she hand crafted.
Cheri loved her family and friends, always making them feel comfortable in her home. She was a good mother to anyone who was in need. She made many friends through her talents and years as a manicurist.
She is survived by her loving husband, Don, and 5 children, Jason Thompson (Holly) of Florida; Chad Thompson of Roy; James Stevens (Marie) of Roy; Michele Stevens Waldron (Chad) of Kaysville, and Jodi Stevens Jones (Jeff) of Layton. She has 8 beautiful grandchildren and her dog, Zoey.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Wintle and Susan Baggaly, APRN, for years of care and concern.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Avon, Utah Cemetery in Cache Valley at 1:30 p.m. Family and friends may call on Monday, from 11:00 ��" 12:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah.
