Here is an obituary for Randy. He was one of my closest friends growing up, and we stayed in contact. I was shocked to hear of his passing:

 

Randy James Bushell
July 2, 1948 – April 29, 2014

Randy James Bushell, 65, of Ogden, Utah passed away on April 29, 2014, due to a heart attack and stroke. Randy was born in South Ogden, Utah on July 2, 1948 to Stanley James and Marion Hunter Bushell. He was the first of four children.

He attended schools in South Ogden, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1966, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He was voted MVP at the North/South High School baseball game in 1966 and thereafter received a baseball scholarship to BYU. He then transferred to the University of Utah and graduated from U of U College of Pharmacy in 1973. He earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix in 1994.

He married Ruth Ann Ross in September 1968; they later divorced. From this union they raised six exceptional children; four sons, Ryan (Kylie) Bushell, Adam Bushell, Spencer (Ashley) Bushell and Logan (Michelle) Bushell; and two daughters, Rhonda (Sean) Angeletti and Kathryn (Andy) Olsen. He has 17 grandchildren that he loved and adored.

He held the office of High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Randy loved gardening, reading, weight lifting, the Denver Broncos and watching sports.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, brother, John (Jolene) Bushell; and two sisters, Bonnie Lynne (Dean) Jennings and Vicki (Ken) Castle.

A service honoring Randy will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the North Ogden 13th Ward, 950 East 2850 North, North Ogden, Utah
