Penelope Kay Shaw 1940—2016
Penelope Kay Shaw, 76, of Rockford passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, from complications of Lymphoma. Born February 14, 1940, in Waverly, IA to Robert Ellsworth and Pauline Katherine Shaw (Hubbs). She made many positive contributions in Rockford working as a licensed social worker over many years. She is survived by three brothers; a sister; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; dear family and friends in Rockford; and beloved cat, Itty Bitty. She is predeceased by her parents.
Celebration of Life Memorial to be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Unitarian Universalist Church, 4848 Turner St., Rockford, with a Vigil Service at 4 p.m. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to: Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rock Valley, Family Counseling Services, Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary, and Womanspace.
