WATERLOO — Raymond C. “Ray” Konken, 67, of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 25, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Nashua, son of Donald R. and Irene M. VanKleeck Konken. He married Debra Vohsman on Sept. 29, 1998.

Mr. Konken was employed with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 30 years, retiring in 1988.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Jeff (Deb) of Waterloo and Brett (Sita) of Beach Park, Ill.; two daughters, Angie (Roger) Reuter of Waterloo and Janna (Gerry Jr.) Schlais of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren, Justin Nicol, Scott Konken, Desiree Konken, Gary Konken, Stephanie Nicol, Tori Schlais, Brittney Schlais and Gerry Schlais III; his mother of Waterloo; and a brother, Richard (Diane) of York, Pa.

Preceded in death by: his father.

Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with visitation for an hour before.
