
A former Fairfield resident, Johnye J. Thomason, 25, of Mt. Vernon, IL, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 1985, at Little Rock Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas, from injuries sustained during an accident.
Mr. Thomason, a truck driver, was involved in a two-semi tractor trailer accident in Arkansas. He was the son of Forest "Curley" and Florine Thomason of Mt. Vernon, former Fairfield and Wayne City resdients.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 6 at Richardson Funeral Home, Wayne City, with Rev. Richard McCormick officiating. Burial followed in Thomason Cemetery there.
Mr. Thomason was born in San Pedro, California, February 2, 1960, the son of Forest and Florine Edminson Thomason. He was a bachelor.
Survivors included his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thomason, of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Randy "Bootie" Gregory, of Sims, two nieces, and several aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
