HOUSTON, TX. - Brian Scott Gates, 55, loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
He is preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Gates and his brother Donald Gates.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Vicki Gates; his three children, Brenda (Abel) Garcia, Anna (Frank Luu) Gates, and Derek Gates; his stepson, Kyle Letson; his two grandchildren, Ethan and Aaron Garcia. He is also survived by his numerous family members in Michigan, including his mother, Elsie Gates; his sister, Lynn (Mike) Tarjeft, and his five brothers, Barry (Sharon) Gates, David (Dorothy) Gates, Steven (Kim) Gates, Ronald Gates, and Shawn (Brooke) Gates. Also mourning him are MANY nieces and nephews.
