Shane Geiger

Shane Roger Geiger, son of Roger and Jeanette (Noe) Geiger was born Dec. 28, 1970, at Wakefield. He graduated in 1989 from Wayne High School. Shane lived in various towns including Wayne, Norfolk, Lincoln, Austin, Texas, and Brooklyn. He was a longtime German language counselor at the Nebraska International Languages Camp near Louisville.

Shane was a brilliant student of computer systems and languages (Linux, Python, Java, etc.). He was an avid chess player and mastered the art of juggling as a teen. Shane was a member of “It Rolled Under The Couch” Lincoln Juggling Club.

In recent years, Shane lived in Brooklyn, where he participated in complex philosophy discussion groups, truth movement organizations and did exhaustive research on the scientific causes for the World Trade Center tower collapses. For much of the past decade, Shane had been employed as the information technology director for the National Council on Economic Education.

He was baptized and confirmed at Wayne United Methodist Church. Shane’s ultimate gift was that of organ donation. Above all, Shane cherished his close and deep friendships.

Shane is survived by his father, Roger and wife Linda Geiger of Norfolk; brother, Adam and wife Nicolette Geiger of Norfolk; sister, Tammy and husband Tony Young of Norfolk; one niece, Abby Young; two nephews, Jackson Young and Ty Geiger; and a very loving girlfriend, Marie Loseff and their dog “Chupi” of Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Geiger; grandparents, Robert and Wilma Noe, Ben Geiger, Edwin and Margery Zobel.
