My couion Mike Davis was killed by USA's forces along with 3 doctors ( friendly fire, because of stupid army officers ) standing his post at a field hospitle.
Mike was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew and I still think of him often. I visited the Vietnam Wall in Washington DC and traced his name , also David Frady's. We should never forget these guys who lost their lives so young in a place so far from home. I will never forget and I hope others don't either.
Yes. I remember Mike as strong and quiet. A little shy. I didn't know that he had died in Vietnam. I can see him standing guard duty. Thank you, Phillip, for posting.
Reading your post reminded me yet again of the death of one who would have been in our graduating class: Wayne Snyder. He could always make me laugh. He reminded me of Tom Sawyer. I will always remember coming home from a celebration our senior year and seeing the article on Wayne's death in the paper. I screamed aloud then. I cry inside, still. He had lied about his age, joining the service at seventeen, and was killed two weeks in.
