WEST ALLIS - Robert John "Bob" Bukowski, lifelong resident of West Allis passed away at his home with family by his side, after a 15 month courageous battle of Mesothelioma Cancer.  Bob was born October 12, 1945 in Milwaukee to (Agnes (Nee Ziebert) Bukowsk and Edward (Hans) Bukowsky.  Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Bukowsky (nee Moker) of 58 years.

Devoted father of Robin Kozeniecki, Robert James Bukowsky and Michelle (Andy) Lewis.  Proud Grandpa (Papa Bob) of Amanda (Nick) Wilfong, Kaitlyn Kozeniecki (Chris Ronan), Megan Steele, Robbie Bukowsky, Joshua Lewis, Lindsay Lewis, Hailey Lewis (Devin Rudolph), Dalton Lewis, Logan Lewis, and Hayden Lewis.  Beloved Great Grandpa to 8 Great Grandchildren with the newest edition, Levi Wilfong (Papa's little Buddy).

Bob is survived by his Brothers and Sisters, James Bukowsky, Mary (Chuck) Murray, Sue (Al) Ebert and Don (Sarah) Bukowsky.  Also survived by his Sisters and Brothers in law, Mickey, Ken (Geri), Lila (Bruce), Dave (Hollie), Kathy, Doug (Lucy), John (Joan), Debbie (Mark), Tim and was also preceeded in death by Chuck and Linda Moker.  Bob was also loved by an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob attended West Allis Central High School (class of '63), worked as a mechanic, carpenter and retired as a proud Teamster (local 200) Truck driver.  After retirement Bob went back out to the workforce and worked for Dueco and traveled the country.  He also worked for Prescriptions Plus until Mary fell ill and he became a full time caregiver.  Bob was a devoted Family Man and enjoyed boating and fishing on his pontoon boat on the Lake Buelah. He was known to love his Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Frank Sinatra music, gameshows and playing slots.  He was a Character that loved to share many stories of his adventurous childhood and he taught his family to love Selfless and live Humbly.  He will be missed Immensely.  the world weas a better place with him in it.

Funeral Service for Bob will be held Monday October 24th with visitation from 4 to 7 and October 25th, 10 to 11am with service at 11am at Krause Funeral Home in New Berlin with burial to follow at Highland Park, New Berlin.

So sad that another classmate has passed.  I remember Bob as a wonderful easy going person.  Rest in peace.

"Only the good die young." Bob was quiet in his own way. Likeable.Gone too soon.

Remember to tell those you love every chance that you get just how much they mean to you. You never know when that opportunity will come again.
