
Duane P. Maas, age 79 of Mountain, passed away at home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Duane was born February 9, 1945, to the late Norbert and Gertrude (Jezeski) Maas in Milwaukee. He graduated from Central High School in West Allis and began a career in manufacturing as a machinist. He later retired from the Eaton Corporation. On November 4, 1967, he married Delight Wilson at St. Augustine Catholic Church in West Allis. In 2007 the couple moved to the Mountain area full time after previously living in the Milwaukee area. Duane is a member of AARP and St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing darts and horeshoes. Duane greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors including fishing and hunting.
Duane is survived by his beloved wife Delight; 2 sons Kent (Tracy) Maas and Kyle (Kim) Maas; 2 grandchildren Amanda (Alex) Moser and Austin (financee Megan) Maas; 3 step-grandchildren Brandon (Abbey) Davitz, Taylor Davitz and Emilie (fiance Trever) Davitz; 2 sisters-in-law Sherry Maas and Donna Maas. He is also survived by Mieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; brothers Norbert, Jerry and Dennis; step-sister Audrey.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 10 am until the funeral service at 12 pm with Father Praveen Pamisetti officiating.
