Charlie Atkinson and Jim Beitzinger died in a motorcycle accident in August of 1971.

The Atkinson family were next door neighbors growing up. I remember the pain the family went through when Chuck died. He had been estranged from the family for a while before the accident. I still see Steve (class of 69) regularly for Brewer games.

I did not know he died. Charles was fun and easy to like.
