Steve passed, yesterday, March 11, 2021, while on hospice at the home of his younger brother, Gary.
In high school, Steve and I were good friends, him always looking out for my welfare. So much so that he walked me to my biology class with the sole intent of introducing me to Larry Rector, class of 1964, his basketball teammate. Larry and I were married for 40 years, until he passed October 3, 2005.
In the last few weeks, I have had the pleasure of sharing stories of the "old days" with Steve's son. He shared the memories with Steve and they had time to laugh, during painful moments.
Today, I ask all of you to remember the good times, shared them with your family, for life is too short to not share with those you love.
