So, so sad!  My thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends!  Such a great guy and always with a huge smile on his face.  I so hope you're in a very happy place!

Larry was a friend to everyone. I dropped him a card about a month ago. He has been on my mind for sometime. Wish I could of done more. It’s a sad day for us here on earth and a joyous day for God and his children. Rest In Peace my friend.

I was so fortunate to have grown up just three homes from the Fritz's. Larry and I were together almost every day until we left Mt. Sac and finished college at different universities. I didn't just lose an amazing friend, I lost a member of the Church family. We were always over at one another's home and he even vacationed with us. He had a unique way of always making the best of any situation. Like the rest of us, he had reasons to complain but he didn't. He was always looking to learn and for the humor in things. He was a natural leader and one of the most well rounded people I have ever met. He enriched my life immeasurably during the "wonder years" and will be sorely missed by me, as well as scores of others. He and Liz were married for 47 years and lived a life of integrity. I am proud he was my best friend and happy that we shared so much history. Mike Church

Larry, You were the heart and soul of our class.  A shining example for us all.  You will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Mr. President

Larry was a great guy!   He will be missed by all.  I remember during the summer days late afternoon a number of us guys, Mike Church, John Fruhn, to name  just a couple, would go to E.H.S. and play over the line.  Then go to A&W for a root beer and sit and talk about who hit the longest ball.  Great times!!

I just got off the phone with our Classmate Les Schwartz. We talked about the "specialness" of Larry Fritz and our Class of 1965. Something unique about Larry and our Class leaders was that often the "athletes" were integrally involved in student government and other extracurriuclar activities - this was Larry. I still dream of my High School Classmates though my family moved from West Covina at my graduation. I miss our family of diverse and incredible individuals. I will miss Larry. All my love to his sister and family. Sinceramente, Ricky Sorensen Romero

I am struggling to find the right words to express my sorrow over the loss of Larry! So I will share my favorite memory instead. The day our son graduated from the police academy we stopped by Rocky Mountain Chocolate In Solvang, CA.  Larry offered our son a free, homemade, merlot ice cream cone as a tribute to his accomplishment. That meant a lot to all of us!  I got that merlot ice cream recipe from Larry so I remember that special day every time I make it!

Mary- I feel very much the same but am sure that your bonds with Larry ran much deeper. Nevertheless, you know Larry and I were virtually inseparable for many years. Those friendship waters will always run deep within me. You and I share those ties with Larry, along with the memories associated with thousands of experiences with him, He still lives within our minds and those of so many others he touched during his unique time on earth. All of us who were fortunate enough to get to know him are better because of his existence. Mike
