Obituary

PINSKY, Pamela Pamela Pinsky of Water-town MA left us on January 14, 2011 after a courageous 20 year battle with breast cancer. Pam was born and raised in West Hartford, CT and graduated from Hall High School in 1960. After graduating from the University of Connecticut in 1964, she moved to Boston and held positions with Houghton-Mifflin, WGBH and in the telecommunications industry.

After her retirement in 2003, Pam threw her enthusiasm into activities ranging from rooting for the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and UCONN basketball to tirelessly volunteering with Watertown's Arsenal Center for the Arts, the Historic Society of Wa-tertown and at Mount Auburn Cemetery. Pam loved people and had many, many friends.

She greeted everyone with respect, a cheerful nature and a genuine interest in each one. She leaves her brothers Paul and Jim of Palo Alto, CA and sister Cherie of San Francisco CA, nieces Annie, Cathy, Jane, Stina, Fraser and nephew David. Survivors also include Leo and Lorraine Pin-sky of West Hartford, CT, Jane and Edward Borkowski of Wallingford, CT and Albert Pinsky of Yardley, PA. She was the 'family glue' and leaves behind many other family members with whom she was in constant contact.

Pam was an exuberant part of our lives and she will be missed. A service will be held on February 20, 2011 at the Story Chapel, Mount Auburn Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. followed by a memorial reception at 1 p.m. at the Commander's Mansion at the Watertown Arsenal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Pamela Pinsky to Massachusetts General Hospital, Gillette Cancer Center, 165 Cambridge St, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
