Barbara Johanna Zawertany January 31, 2017 Barbara Johanna Zawertany, Clarks Summit, died Jan. 31 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Born in Tompkinsville, daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine (Johanna) Smolley Zawertany she was a graduate of William Hutchinson (typo, should be Hall) High School, Connecticut. She was a former member of St. Nicholas Church, Olyphant. Surviving a daughter, Barbara Teddick, Olyphant; two granddaughters, Barbara (Pumpkin) J.E.M. Teddick; and Alexis B.S.M. Teddick; and a brother, Joseph Zawertany You were the best mom and grandmother ever. We will miss you always and love you forever. A memorial service will be conducted Friday at noon in the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant. Interment will be private.
