West Liberty- Thomas Lee Simon, 25 died suddenly Monday evening September. 25, 1991 due to injuries suffered while at work on Interstate 80, near Durant, Iowa.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 27th at St Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty.  Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty.  Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at West Liberty Barker Funeral home where a Rosary Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.   A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Simon was born May 13, 1966 at Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Mary Ellen Goddard Simon.  He married Sarah Graves October 31, 1987 in West Liberty.  Survivors include his wife, Sarah, one daugher, Amanda and a son Adam, both at home. His parents, Mr and Mrs. Joseph Simon of West Liberty. two sisters Mrs. Bill (Tammy) Goodale of Atalissa and Mrs Murray (LuAnne) Sorgenfrey, of Tipton, two brothers, Bill and Jim Simon both of West Liberty; his grandmother Elda Goddard of Cranston, IA; nieces and nephews; Shannon, Shelly, Trenton, Austin and Mary Sorgenfrey of Tipton.  Willy, Matt, Ben, Angie, Lisa and Danny Goodale of Atalissa, Joey, Mandy, Amy, Kurtis, Jay, Justin and Brett Simon all of West Liberty.  He was a graduate of West Liberty High School with the class of 1984 and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
