I am deeply saddened to report the passing of our classmate Catherine (Cathy) Kincaid Schlesinger who found Heaven's door this morning. She leaves us with her daughter Carla, son Brian and granddaughter Samantha. Although she battled cancer for only a short time, she did it with grace, dignity and a sense of humor. She is loved and will be sadly missed by all.

I just heard from Robin Knoll Ricco with the arrangements for her memorial. It will be held at Meyers Family Restaurant, 4200 S. 76th St., Greenfield, WI 414-321-4400 (corner of 76th St., Forest Home Ave., and Coldspring Rd) It is on Saturday March 16th from 1pm until approx. 4pm. Food and beverage (beer) will be served.
We want people to come celebrate as that is what Catherine wanted!

If anyone would like to send cards or condolences to her family, they are staying at Catherines' for about the next month to get the estate ready.
1690 Monticello Rd., Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. Her son Brian also stated that if anyone wanted or needed to contact them they could call her house at 847-885-8774.

This information will also be emailed to all classmates.

Over the weekend, classmates Jim Ponzi and Kyle Ostmann celebrated another birthday........That is a lot of fire right there!!! Luckily they are trained appropriately for those types of incidents!!

The birthday song gets sung twice today......Ann Miller Stick and Kathy Weishan Delfiore both get to blow out the candles!! Happy Birthday ladies...careful tho...all that candle wax hurts!!

One set of our class twins celebrated birthdays yesterday......Marion and Marilyn claim the birthday wishes!!

Also, thanks to those classmates who attended Catherine Schlesinger's celebration of life yesterday. Her family sincerely appreciated the kindness.........

Colleen Beck, Marie Hertz and HS quarterback Steve Zeman all celebrate their birthday today. If Steve has any achesand pains going back to HS, it is probably because of all my "look out" blocks!

We have two birrthday girls today....Sandra Kunath-Eggert and Michelle Zibolski Schemmer-Gray.... They brought with them much warmer weather...perhaps there may be a connection to all those candles????

I started a group on facebook called "West Milwaukee High School Class of 1978". Everybody from class of 78 is invited along with people that were in other classes during our 3 years at WMHS (1976, 1977, 1979, 1980).
