Douglas Allen Hanson, 53, passed away at his home in McKinney, TX on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Doug was born in Winchester, MA on July 21, 1962. He graduated from Westford Academy in 1980 and continued on to receive a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts (Lowell). Doug started his own construction company, Hanson Builders, in 1992 and built many custom homes, additions and renovations in and around the Westford area until re-locating to Arizona in 2002 pursuing a career in real estate investments. In January 2016 he relocated to McKinney, TX. Doug took great joy in spending time with his family which included many four legged family members along the way. He loved going to the movies and watching sports particularly his beloved New England Patriots and golf. He took an interest in learning new things, meeting new people, and communicating with old friends. Doug was married to Gina L. Jeansonne on March 20, 1993; they were married for 23 years. He is survived by his four sisters, Denise Hanson (Russell Gerry), Diane Ryan (George), his twin sister Donna Moore (George) and his brother, David (Philippe Hills). Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Allen W. Hanson and Joan M. (Costello) Hanson. The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in McKinney, TX followed by a celebration of life reception at The Sanctuary Music & Events venue in McKinney, TX.
