ASHFIELD - Christabeth (Leah) Nicholls, 39, passed away March 13, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born Jan. 31, 1970, in Northampton and resided in Ashfield.

She was the daughter of Howard and Gloria Nicholls. She was a graduate of Hampshire Regional High School and was a resident of Ashfield. She was employed at Stop & Shop and is survived by her mother, Gloria Nicholls; and her sisters, Lynda Nicholls of Williamsburg and Laura Nicholls-Shaw of Conway. She was predeceased by her father, Howard Nicholls, and brother, Howard (Les) Nicholls.

Surviving family members also include nieces: Jonna Berhens and Mary, Megan, Morgan and Melissa Shaw, all of Conway. Nephews include Jonathan and Joel White of Williamsburg, Jesse White of Ohio; she also leaves an aunt, Glenda Hall of Westhampton.

Christabeth (Leah) loved music and had a wonderful sense of humor. She also studied cultures and in particular loved Scottish and Irish folklore.
