(From the Aztec Sun)
Dominic Christiansen (1970-1986), a sophomore at La Quinta, passed away May 1, 1986. The student body respected his memory by participating in a moment of silence.
To his friends he was a fun loving person who wanted to live life to the fullest. He is well remembered as a person who was always ready to lend his support. His desire to enjoy life led to his competitive nature in both surfing and video games.
Dominic was known as a person who cared for the welfare of others. He was always willing to offer a helping hand, or listen to those who needed comfort.
His enthusiasm was evident in his quest for trying to encourage others in a particular area of interest. Everyone needs a friend to talk to; everyone needs a memory to hold on to.

You are missed and we all know you are watching over us all.Jodie Clapp
I'm in the process of going through 38 years worth of stuff in my Mom's attic & came across a box of old letters (yes I am a packrat) & found some old letters from Dominic. I could hear his voice as I re-read them. Still miss him every day...Clint Gonzales
I didn't have any blood brothers but Dom was like the brother I always wanted. He looked out for me - was extremely loyal to his friends and super generous! I was devastated when we lost him. Still think about him - he was all grown up at only 15 years old! Rest in peace bro!
