Mary Shea was one of the most brilliant people I have had the honor to call my friend. To hear someone say "I heard she committed suicide" is a disgrace to her memory. Watching a human being, suffer a terrible, incurable brain disease, seeing the expense and effect it has on ones family, and then selflessly undertaking responsibility for ending the ongoing suffering of self and loved ones cannot be left to so blunt a comment. I am sorry that I commented at all. I did not want to hurt any one's feelings and I did not know all the details. That is what a classmate told me and no one wanted to tell me the whole story. Death is a terrible thing and to have cancer is worse still. I am glad that Cheryl told us the whole story. Thank you. I am praying for her and her family as I have since the last reunion. May God be with us all as we struggle to live through the pain of those who are not with us and we are only 48.
Thanks Julie for the update, Cheri, do not be so critical, Julie did nothing wrong, she only relayed what she heard, time to stop with harsh comments, we are not in school anymore!
