Donna Marie Gorro

Donna Marie Gorro (née Phillips), age 70, of Woodridge and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, after a long illness, entered into eternal life Friday, April 17, 2020. Beloved wife of Steve for thirty-three years. Loving mother of Kathrine (Frank) Dixon and Joshua Habdas. Cherished "mom's mom" of Andrea and Frank Jr. Dear sister of the late Charles Phillips and Jerry Hobbs. Fond aunt, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents Charles Virgil and Hilda Mae Katherine Phillips (née Mathis). Donna was a long time volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was an animal lover and donor to the ASPCA. Donna was also passionate about her advocacy for abused women, and because of a newspaper interview she did in the Naperville Sun, there was a second shelter for abused women opened in DuPage County.
