Joseph J. Bertelli, 37, of Westville, passed away at 6:03 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.
He was born on Jan. 15, 1969, in Danville, the son of Jerry D. and Roxy M. Calloway Bertelli.
Survivors include his mother, Roxy M. Bertelli of Westville; one brother, Rodney “Butch” (Karrin) Bertelli of Lafayette, Ind.; one sister, Candy L. (Barry) Gurney of West Terre Haute, Ind.; his nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Johnathon, Michael and Jerry D. Gurney and Dean, Matthew, Emmalee and Holly Bertelli. He was preceded in death by his dad, grandparents and an uncle.
Joe was formerly employed at CCL. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, NASCAR and watching WWE Wrestling. Joe enjoyed spending time with his friends and especially with his nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Home, 414 S. State St., Westville, Ill.; Officiating: Rev. Don Pruitt. Burial: St. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the funeral home.
