I was very sad to hear of my good friend Sheron, "Red", passing away. Sheron and I were very close friends growing up, and we both were happy that we found each other and reconnected in the late 1990's, and that we actually lived very close to each other. We had long talks and tried for years to get together, but every time a circumstance prevented that from happening. We'd lose track of each other, then find each other again, and when we finally had decided on a date and time to meet for lunch, she never responded back to me, nor could I reach her by phone. I later found out it was right at that time Sheron lost her battle with cancer. It's taught me not to "postpone joy", especially when it comes to family, friends or loved ones. Life is too unpredictable. You are missed my good friend.
