Bill (Miller) Counihan passed away July 26, 2016, from complications during a surgery to remove his kidney due to cancer. He suffered a heart attack during the surgery. Funeral information will follow when it is released..
Bill was my first real boyfriend and my memories of him are all womderful. Strangely I just thought about him today and his passing leaves a hollow feeling in my heart.
"Billy" lived across the street from me. All of the neighborhood kids were inseparable throughout gradeschool, spending every chance outside playing Red Rover, kick the can, baseball, football, skating, riding bikes, climbing trees.
Oh Bill. I didn't realize you were so ill. It saddened me greatly when I read of your death.
I always looked forward to seeing you in the summer. When you came to our cabins and visited with Lenny Kolodziej (my cousin, cabin neighbor) your friend and me. The stories told would always give a laugh.
I will miss your smile with those beautiful dimples.
Bill was a High School friend because of the girls in our lives at the time. Bill & Cathy O, John & Pat H. Many a friday night was spent down near University Ave waiting for Bill to get off of shift at White Castle. Of course there were always a large bag of sliders that the four of us shared. Bill drove a white 57 Chev convertiable, I drove white 57 Chev hardtop. Bill was always trying to keep that car running. Because we both stayed in White Bear, we often would run into each other. As the years went by we drifted apart. When I saw Bill at the 50th the memories came flooding back. You will be missed and Thanks for the memories.
I will miss seeing you at the Cornerstone in Wyoming every Saturday morning. God bless your family and friends, you will be missed. Nancy (Wild) Anderson
It was wonderful to visit and get "caught up" with Bill at the 50th reunion. He used to tease me incessantly about lots of things, so I teased him back about his dimples. His smile was so contagious! Truly a delightful man! I will miss him :D (Having had two surgeries this year myself, I am forced to realize that you never know when Jesus will call you home. Important to be ready!)
