Dick lived about two blocks from my house and had a chalk board in his room on whick we developed a 9th grade journey within the event horizon of a black hole to become a white source in an alternate universe.  I certainly lost track him through the college years, but that trans multiverse theory was supported years later through characters in Marvel comics.

Dick and I spent most of the summer after graduation hanging out together.  In the evenings we were usually bowling.  He loved to bowl. If not bowling we were driving around the lakes of St Paul and Minneapolis, checking out Como Zoo for any action or wandering around the corridors of  MPS Airport (back when you could do that kind of thing).

That fall he attended St Cloud State (living in the dorms) and I commuted to the U of M.  It wasn't long he had a girl friend, Linda, and told me if I came up for a weekend he would set me up with a blind date.  Both he and I eventually married; him to Linda, whom he has just departed after all these years and I to my blind date.  I thank you Dick so much for that weekend and all the good times.
