I have a lot of memories of Chris. I had my first crush and broken heart over him. We were friends since 4th grade. Unfortunately, after high school i didn't see or talk to him much. I remember his smile, his laugh, his accent, his hair and that he was a real neat freak. I'm talking about he ironed his boxer shorts! We played sports together. I am really sad to remember his passing and only hope that others remember the good things about him.
I will always remember Chris. He was a very sweet boy. He was great freinds with my High School boyfriend, Justin. Chris thought of me as a sister because of his friendship with Justin. I will always remember his country accent too! He called me Wendy Peppercorn. I never really knew why or where he got that from but that was my nickname that pretty much only he ever used. LOL! I spoke with him a few times after high school and regret that I never got to see him again before he passed. That was one of the last things I remember him telling me was that we needed to get together sometime. He was a great guy and I will always remember him.
Chris was one of the cool guys, and I was the fat nerd through most of junior high and high school. He always wanted to copy my homework, until one day he fed me the line, "I thought we were friends, Holmes!" I told him we most certainly weren't friends, because friends hang out and do things together, and he only speaks to me because he wants to copy my homework.
Because Chris was actually a great guy, my words really hurt his feelings. After that very juvenile moment together, he always made an effort to spend time with me. I wish I had made an equal effort to tell him how his sincerity affected me.
On a lighter note, Chad Hilton and I would ride our bikes with him sometimes. That guy could ride a wheelie for a mile-on a 10-speed! lol
When I picture him now, I remember us in pee-wee basketball. That's the Chris Garrett I remember the most.
