James A. Keillor III
James A. Keillor, III of Mooresville, NC passed away suddenly on July 10, 2013 in Murrells Inlet, SC.
Mr. Keillor was born in White Plains, NY on February 24, 1946, the son of James A. Keillor, Jr. and Carol Finch Keillor.
He graduated from Tufts University in 1968 and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict.
He enjoyed a long and successful career with Allstate Insurance Company and retired to Lake Norman in 2006.
He was a member of the Central Lake Norman Golden Boys where he was the leader of the fly-fishing group. He was also an accomplished surf caster and big game fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joan Schmidt Keillor, daughters, Catherine K. Rogers of Louisville, KY and Christine A. Keillor of Pawleys Island, SC, and two granddaughters. Mr. Keillor is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth K. Taylor of Remsenburg, NY and Anne K. Caswell of Brentwood, TN.
A private family service will be held in Wading River in September.
