Emilio Bruna reported that Tom died in 2018. The following is from Pancho's email:

 

Thomas Harold Dungan was born in Raton, New Mexico on December 4, 1946 and died in Santa Fe, New Mexico on January 11, 2018 at the age of 71. He lived in Marfa. Tom grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, then moved to White Plains, New York for high school. He was a high school all-American in ice hockey. While attending Colgate University, he played on the varsity ice hockey team. He graduated with a degree in history. He was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served as a 1st Lieutenant. After a tour of duty in Vietnam he was awarded the Bronze Star and a V for valor. He then received a Master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of Houston. He was a Senior Vice President of Frost Bank in Houston at the time of his retirement in 2011. Tom is survived by his wife, Suzanne Dungan of Marfa; his stepchildren, Alan Niederlitz of Houston, Krista Niederlitz of Houston, and Suzanne Wynn of Providence, Rhode Island; and four grandchildren. He was much beloved by all. Donations may be made in Tom’s name to McDonald Observatory, Davis Mountains State Park or the Chinati Foundation.
