I ran into Tom around 2005 when I moved back to Whitefish. He spotted me in the Remington and we had a nice visit and caught up after 40 years. He was very proud of being a veteren and I was sad he got shot and had a Purple Heart medal. I felt privileged to be able to shake his hand and congratulate him. I have grown to appreciate a military veteren more and more these last few years as our young servicemen and women today r the bravest this country has ever produced. Vietnam veterens were forgotten or push aside as it was not a "cool" war and today we r finally treating a vet as they deserve. I wish Tom were still around to see it as he deserved to be treated better than he was.
