Some classmates have expressed concerns about posting data in their profiles, and the general public being able to view their personal data by using a search engine such as Google, Bing, etc.  This can easily be handled in your individual profiles.  See below.

The Check Box States:

"Allow only fellow Classmates to view my Profile details.  This will block the public and search engines from accessing your Profile.  Leave this box unchecked if you wish to allow the public (friends, co-workers, family members, etc.) to view your Profile details"

If this box is unchecked, the profile will be able to be indexed by search engines.
