Capt. Marshall (Brent) Brown from Whitehouse was promoted in mid-June to head the USS Nimitz. Marshall is the son of Mel Brown and the brother of Melinda (75) and Alissa (77) Brown.

Brown will be in charge of one of the world's largest aircraft carriers and will also oversee about 6,000 people on seven ships in the Pacific.
