Mary Lou Wentworth (Crane)

Mary Lou Crane, 62, Whitewater, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Fairhaven Senior Living in Whitewater, WI.
Mary Lou was born on January 13, 1955 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to Russell and Elizabeth (Godfrey) Wentworth. She graduated from Whitewater High School in 1973 and from Gateway Technical College. Mary Lou married Robert Crane on September 11, 1982. She was employed in the floral department at Sentry in Delavan for ten years as a floral department manager before she started her own floral and craft store called Country Blossoms in Janesville. She also worked for Sentry in Janesville. She was a social person who loved going shopping, gambling, traveling and dining out. Mary Lou also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and volunteering. She would make a point of driving around on her electric scooter where she was able to meet many of the neighbor’s dogs and have a supply of treats for them. Mary Lou was a member of the Community of Christ the Servant Church in Whitewater.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Crane; children, Dave (Marilyn) Crane, Fort Atkinson, Kathy Anderson and the late John Anderson, Lowell, WI, Lisa (Brian) Wethal, Sun Prairie, Rob (Stephanie) Crane, Whitewater; grandchildren, Bryon Crane, Trent Gilbert, Brady Crane, Zach Svendsen, Clay and Hope Wethal; Sisters, Kay Robers, Whitewater, Sue (Rod) Scherer, Whitewater, Nancy Wentworth, Whitewater, Marsha (Kevin) McKinnon, Whitewater; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sharon (Avery Nofsinger, Columbus, WI, brother-in-law, Bill (Marilyn) Crane, Fremont, CA; special friends, Helen Sterken, Lindi Pauls, Debbie Fergeson, and Karen Shepler. She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Virginia Payne.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Congregation-United Church of Christ, 133 S. Franklin St. Whitewater, WI 53190. Friends may call at the church from 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date at Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, WI. As an expression of sympathy you may wish to consider memorials to Fairhaven Senior Living or to Rainbow Hospice. The family would like to thank Dr. Kahn, Dr. Garner, Tiffany Allen NP, Rainbow Hospice and the staff of Fairhaven 3rd floor for their loving and devoted care of Mary Lou.
