James W. Lombardo Jr., 63
There are no words on Earth to describe how much he was loved and will be missed.
James was born on Oct. 15, 1954, in Monroe, to James Lombardo Sr. and Arlene (Portman) Lombardo.
He attended First English Lutheran Church and St. Johns Lutheran churches in Whitewater. He graduated from Whitewater High school, where he played on the Whitewater Whippets football team, and where his classmates lovingly knew him as “Byrd.”
James married Debra Murray of Fort Atkinson on July 26, 1975. James and Debra were blessed with three children whom he loved more than words can explain.
James enjoyed traveling all over the country with his family and took them on many trips over the years.
James was a volunteer firefighter, EMT and member of the crash crew in Whitewater for several years. He helped save many lives in his lifetime.
James retired from General Motors in 2016. He worked in multiple plants including Janesville; Wentzville, Mo.; and Fort Wayne, Ind.

James was preceded in death by his father, James W. Lombardo Sr.; his mother, Arlene Lombardo; and his sister, Jean Lombardo.
There will be a celebration of life for James; details will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Agrace Hospice of Janesville, or a charity of one’s choice. https://www.dailyunion.com/obituaries/james-w-lombardo-jr-63/article_393cef79-3c4f-5c0a-8f55-8553026c8088.html
